About Us

The Hands of Friendship Quilt Guild welcomes you! Our guild was started February, 1986 by seven women whose goal was to promote quilting education, give to others less fortunate through community service, and to share their love of quilts with others.

Our Charter members:

  • Kay Beach
  • Betty Hammons
  • Glee Hanson
  • Margaret Mort
  • Kathleen Quigley
  • Beth Stanley
  • Ann Truitt

Guild Mission Statement

To promote the art of quilt making, to contribute to the growth and knowledge of quilt making techniques through educational opportunities, and to promote fellowship among persons interested in all aspects of quilt making.

Our active guild continues that goal. We organize a yearly quilt show, hold many “Quilt ’til You Wilt” get-togethers throughout the year, and offer a retreat with a guest speaker or two. Our monthly meetings feature programs, member “Show and Tells” of completed projects, and lots of laughter, fun, and fellowship!  We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the Kirksville Arts Association, 1902 S. Baltimore, Suite 100, Kirksville, Missouri, at 6:30 p.m. Yearly dues are $15. We encourage new members to join us!
